This year, the Maryland Farmers Market Association is proud to partner with 10 farmers market in Baltimore (8 in Baltimore City and 2 in Baltimore County) to provide Maryland Market Money incentive dollars to customers who spend their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), WIC-FVC (Special Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program for Women, Infants, and Children-Fruit and Vegetable Checks), or FMNP-Senior/WIC (Farmers Market Nutrition Assistance Program-Senior/WIC) federal nutrition benefits at market.
Participating Maryland Market Money markets in Baltimore provide at dollar for dollar match, up to $5 per customer, per market to customers who spend the federal nutrition benefits mentioned above at market.
The following farmers markets are participating in Maryland Market Money in Baltimore during the 2014 farmers market season. All markets listed accept SNAP and have vendors who are certified to accept WIC-FVC and FMNP-Senior/WIC. All markets, except JFX, offer Maryland Market Money for SNAP, WIC-FVC, and FMNP-Senior/WIC. JFX will begin to offer incentives for SNAP later this season.
