If you still haven’t become certified to accept Farmers Market Nutrition Program Checks (FMNP) or Fruit and Vegetable Checks (FVC) at market, fear not! The Maryland Department of Agriculture (MDA) will hold additional trainings throughout the month of April and one in May, for those interested in becoming FMNP/FVC certified.
Those who received their FMNP/FVC training in 2013 are FMNP/FVC certified for 3 years. Those who took FMNP/FVC training prior to 2013 are required to attend a session this year in order to be FMNP/FVC certified. All those who attend a training during 2014 will be certified for 3 years.

April 22 – St. Mary’s County: Charlotte Hall Library, 37600 New Market Road, Charlotte Hall. 2 -4pm.
