by Maryland Farmers Market Association
The Maryland Farmers Market Association (MDFMA), Johns Hopkins Hospital Farmers Market, and Johns Hopkins WIC office are hosting a  Maryland Market Money promotional event next Thursday, August 21st, between 11 am – 1 pm at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Farmers Market (550 N. Broadway).
Maryland Market Money is a program that matches federal nutrition benefits at market, providing additional funding for customers to purchase more at market and additional sales for farmers.
The first 20 SNAP, WIC (Fruit and Vegetable Checks (FVC), and/or Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) customers to visit the market information tent will receive an exclusive giveaway tote bag filled with cooking supplies and produce from the market vendors.  All SNAP, WIC FVC and FMNP customers are eligible to enter a FREE raffle for an additional $10 in Maryland Market Money for use at the JHH Farmers Market!
Additionally, Chef Gail from United Healthcare will be at market to provide healthy cooking demonstrations and samples.

MDFMA would like to thank the following organizations for making this event possible and their support throughout the market season:
The Johns Hopkins Sustainability Leadership Council
The Johns Hopkins Green Team
The Maryland Department of Agriculture
