Govanstowne Farmers Market, sponsored by the Loyola University Maryland, the Govanstowne Business Association, and the York Road Partnership will open for business on June 4 from 3pm-7pm! Founded in 2011, Govanstowne Farmers Market seeks to increase access to fresh, local foods to memebers of the York Road Community.
Govanstowne Farmers Market offers a wide range of vendors and activities-from fresh, organic ice cream, to delicious seafood, to meats and cheeses, to locally grown produce-everything you need to make the perfect summer supper is available at market. Visit the markets website for a complete list of vendors and shopping list ideas!
Govanstowne vendors welcome SNAP, debit, credit, and cash purchases-additionally, many of their vendors are certified to accept FVC and FMNP. This year, Govanstowne market will be participating in the Maryland Farmers Market Association’s Maryland Market Money federal nutrition incentive program, which offers a dollar for dollar match, up to $5 per market, per customer, to those who spend their SNAP, FVC, and FMNP at market. Visit the market managers tent for more information about maximizing your food purchasing dollars at market!
