Training is an important part of ensuring that you are in compliance to sell at farmers markets; and there are different types of training from required by federal, state, or local entities to optional training to improve your knowledge on a particular topic. MDFMA can help you to identify, connect and complete the training you need.

We partner with federal, state, and local government agencies to provide you with information on required trainings as well as the schedule when they will be offered so that you can complete the necessary steps prior to the opening of your market for the season.  Please be sure to check our Calendar as well as our Events page for listings and information on upcoming opportunities.

We also work with local farmer-oriented groups to offer programming on topics that are relevant to you as a market grower; and in the coming year we will be building out our own suite of informational webinars, videos, and information sheets that are easy for you to find and reference on relevant topics.  If you have needs or ideas for what you would like to see information on, please contact us and let us know.
