Support for Farmers
MDFMA's goal is to increase sales and viability of farmers markets throughout Maryland, and has the following resources available for farmers.
MDFMA works to support the success of Maryland’s farmers markets by increasing the capacity of farmers to effectively market directly to consumers through farmers markets, increasing their profit and, in turn, the markets’ capacity to provide sustained community benefit.

MDFMA works with partners across the state to support farmers, with organizations such as: Future Harvest CASA (FH-CASA), The Southern Maryland Agricultural Development Commission (SMADC), University of Maryland Extension (UME), Garrett County Department of Economic Development, Washington County Department of Business Development, ShoreFresh Growers Association, Tri-County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore, and the Mid-Shore Food System Coalition.
